For a long time, there have been rumors in the corridors of justice about a scandal in the Constitutional Court. A judge of the Constitutional Court is alluded to have had inappropriate, intimate communications with a female subordinate.

The portal webljm.com has published two fragments of these communications and claims that they belong to a judge of the Constitutional Court, but that there is no name of which of the judges they belong to or if they are authentic.

These sms talk about "erotic bites" and contemptuous language towards other court officials.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court decided today to declare that the mandate of the judge of this court, Elsa Toska, ended before the deadline.

Four days after the member Toska submitted her resignation from office for personal reasons, the Constitutional Court considered the request made by the president Holta Zaçaj for the termination of the mandate of the resigned member.

Assessing the resignation of Judge Toska from the constitutional function as an act of will and constitutional cause, her colleagues decided to declare the end of her mandate.

In the same decision, which comes into force immediately, the Constitutional Court decided to notify the Assembly of the Republic as the nominating body as well as the President of Albania.

Elsa Toska was elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly on February 12, 2018 for a vacancy announced by the Assembly, while she was sworn in on November 14, 2019.
