The Police and the Prosecutor's Office of Lezha have managed to clarify the wounding with hard objects of the Director of the Electricity Distribution Operator Unit, Edmir Përndeca, which happened on November 30 of this year. 2 people, Leonard Pepa, 27 years old, and Sebastiano Malotaj, 27 years old, both residents of Lezhë, have fallen into the custody of the police.
Their detention was ordered by the Lezha prosecutor's office, which managed to identify two of the perpetrators. The investigative actions showed that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, first damaged Edmir Përndeca's vehicle while moving, and then hit him because of his duty, causing him physical injuries.
They have been charged with "Assault due to duty" and "Deliberate serious injury", while there are strong suspicions that they may have been ordered by other persons to assault the director of OSHEE in Lezhë.
The identification of the suspected perpetrators of the event was made thanks to special methods of investigation, through environmental surveillance and focusing of the vehicle that they used on the day of the event, while the investigations are being led by Prosecutor Sabri Kastrati.
As material evidence, the Police Services seized the vehicle used by the 2 arrested persons to commit this incident.
The director of the Electricity Distribution Operator Unit in Lezhë, Edmir Përndreca, was raped on the evening of November 30 on the Lezhë-Shënkoll road. The 43-year-old man was driving OSHEE's car, when he was deliberately hit from behind by another vehicle after being chased.
