Two police officers injured in accident, 33-year-old driver was drunk

Two police officers on duty who were traveling by motorcycle were hit by a 33-year-old man on the Plepa-Shkozet road.

After verification, it turned out that the perpetrator was intoxicated. The police officers were not injured.

"Road Traffic Specialists arrested citizen Xh. I., 33 years old, resident of Durrës, in flagrante delicto.
His arrest was made after on the Plepa-Shkozet road, the vehicle he was driving while intoxicated collided with a Police vehicle, in which there were two Traffic Police officers who were on duty. The accident only caused material damage," the police announced.

Meanwhile, the materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings have been initiated against a 17-year-old, after he was found to be driving a vehicle without a driver's license.

Citizen A. Ç., 33 years old, resident of Manëz, Durrës, was also arrested, after on 24.11.2025, at 19:00, in the village of Sallmone, Shijak, he allegedly attempted to steal a parked vehicle owned by citizen AH.

They also referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where an investigation was launched into the case of citizen IT, 41 years old, resident of Shijak, suspected of having exercised violence against his wife.

The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action.
