The wife of the SP commissioner has denounced the violence

After the physical clash at the polling station in Pogradec, Luan Tollozhina's grandchildren went to the apartment of SP commissioner Enton Gega, where they raped the latter's son and wife.

In a statement to the media, Suela Gega, Enton Gega's wife, said that they faced an ambush by 4-5 people.

Their son, who has undergone surgery and has a broken leg, was hit with crates. She tried to protect her son and was physically assaulted.

"They were hitting the boy with crates, I defended the boy and they attacked me too. I defended the boy and I ate him, because he has a broken leg," said Suela Gega.

The Pogradec police have also reacted to this event. The blue uniforms inform that today at 13:00, in Pogradec, citizens RT, and EM, DM, (grandchildren of the arrested citizen Luan Tollozhina), after the conflict that occurred at the voting center no. 3901, went to the apartment of citizen Enton Gegës, 52 years old, (commissioner of this voting center), and attacked the 52-year-old's family members (his wife and son).

The 52-year-old's son is receiving treatment in hospital and is in a non-life-threatening condition, while the 52-year-old's wife is at the police station to file a report.

Police notification

"Following the preliminary information provided previously, the Special Structures for the Investigation of Electoral Crimes at the Korça DVP, under the direction of the Korça Prosecutor's Office, arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Threat or violence against election participants" and "Insults due to duty", provided for by article 329/2 and 237 of the Criminal Code, citizen L. T, 63 years old, resident of Pogradec.

His arrest took place after on 11.05.2025, at around 10.30, this citizen entered VC No. 3901 in Pogradec, and hit, causing physical injuries, citizen EG, 52 years old (acting member of the commission of the political force Socialist Party of Albania) at this voting center.

This citizen hit him because the chairwoman of the commission of this voting center, (the daughter of citizen LT) had an argument with the commission member, citizen EG, regarding the voting of people with disabilities, the elderly, etc., whether or not they should vote with a companion.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça for further action."
