The first phase of registrations at the University of Elbasan has ended, with 40% of the quotas filled, marking a slight decrease compared to a year ago.

Medicine has a high interest, while there has been a decline in teaching such as Language-Literature, History-Geography and Mathematics and Physics.

Curriculum director at "Aleksandër Xhuvani" University, Bujar Muharremi, has said that in Elbasan this year, three branches are in danger of being closed, as there are no registered students.

In Elbasan, there are about 13 branches that have not had a student for several years. For the latter, Muharremi says that they have addressed the Ministry of Education to officially close it. According to him, it is a branch that is not even preferred by the labor market.

Students who did not win a program during the first round can apply again from 15 to 17 September.
