The Tirana police have arrested a 55-year-old man who benefited from sums of money by claiming to help a sick minor for his cure. Also, two other people were processed in a free state.

The police say that 55-year-old Artur Karati committed computer fraud from a fake profile on the Instagram social network. He used pictures taken online of a sick minor.

For this reason, he received sums of money from various citizens with the claim that they would be used for the treatment of the minor.

"From the preliminary actions, 117 bank transactions were documented with legal evidence that were carried out by Albanian citizens, who were deceived by the fake profile on Instagram", announced the police.

Meanwhile, the authorities are working to identify other persons who may have been implicated in this case.
