For the first time, a live coronary intervention is performed at Shkodra

At Shkodra Hospital, for the first time, two live coronary interventions were performed with intravascular ultrasound guidance (IVUS), under the direction of Prof. Dr. Aurel Toma and Prof. Dr. Florim Cuculi , together with the team of interventional cardiologists of Shkodra Regional Hospital.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the interventions were performed during the conference " Shkodra PCI 2.0: Daily Work Dilemmas in Interventional Cardiology ", organized for the second consecutive year by the Cardiology Service at the Shkodra Regional Hospital.

“ For the first time at the Shkodra Regional Hospital, two live coronary interventions were performed with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) guidance, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Aurel Toma and Prof. Dr. Florim Cuculi, together with the team of interventional cardiologists.

The interventions were performed during the conference "Shkodra PCI 2.0: Daily Work Dilemmas in Interventional Cardiology", with the participation of 80 cardiologists from Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, bringing a high level of experience and standards to Albanian hemodynamics ", Rama writes, while also sharing footage from this conference.
