Marseli, a young man who has been addicted to heroin for 10 years, told the show "Real People" on Euronews Albania that he tried this drug for the first time at the age of 19.

He said that during this period, he spent 20,000 Lek every day to buy this narcotic substance.

Among other things, Marseli said that he has not consumed heroin for 5 months and does not want to do something like that again.

"I was calculating, like 20,000 lek a day, I bought it. They say 600 thousand per month. What can you do? Mind, this is bad company. Why do they say you should choose your friend better than yourself today? Society has led me to this situation. If I didn't drink heroin, in the first place I would be with my family, with my children, with my wife.

I would have a tool, I would have a license. When I remember it, even when I see my friends with an overdose of heroin, my flesh shudders, there is no chance to try it again, I have left it", he emphasized.

He said that drugs destroyed his family, he was even more in love with heroin than with his family members.

The young man also sent a message to his wife and children, telling them that he loves them very much and that he is changing.

"Drugs destroyed my family. I started it when I was 19 years old, now I'm 31 years old. I have also overdosed, when I overdid it. I was in love with that drug, I was not in love with my family.

Maybe I'll pass on the news to my kids, my ex-wife that I'm not that way anymore. I love them a lot, I hug them a lot, I don't forget them as long as my life lasts. I am their father, they are my children, they hurt me a lot. I want to be reunited with my family," he emphasized.
