After they got drunk, the old man hits his friend on the head with an ax

An attempted murder happened yesterday afternoon in Devoll, where a 62-year-old man hit a 73-year-old man with an ax.

It is learned that the incident took place in the village of Menkulas, where after getting drunk with alcohol, Vasil Babinis hit Vasil Begollin with the back of the ax.

The latter, when he arrived at the hospital in Korça, first stated before the judicial police officer that he had fallen accidentally, in the yard of his apartment.

But from the evidence provided by the investigation, it turned out that Vasil Babinis, for weak motives, had hit the 73-year-old man on the head with a strong tool (axe), who will be transported from the Korça hospital to the Tirana Trauma Hospital, for specialized treatment.

The 63-year-old author was arrested for the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder", pending trial.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korçë Judicial District Court for further action.
