According to reports from the structures of the Civil Protection system at the National Civil Emergency Operations Center, the situation so far is as follows.

Road axes

In the Dibra region, the "Arbri" road is impassable due to heavy snowfall. Contracting companies are working to open this road.

In the municipality of Dibër, several administrative centers with main axes such as; Lura, Selishtë, Luzni, Kala e Dodës and Zall Dardhë have been blocked.

In the Bulqiza municipality , the administrative units of Ostren and Trebisht are blocked.

In the municipality of Klos, secondary roads to villages connecting to the administrative centers of Suç, Gura and Xibar have been blocked.

In the Mat municipality , several village roads connecting to the administrative centers of Macukull, Lis, Derjan and Komsi have been blocked.

The Peshkopi-Ulëz road axis , in the place called Qafë Ulëz , is blocked due to the presence of snow, ice and vehicles moving without winter tires.

The Kir-Shosh road axis has been blocked due to landslides and snowfall.

Rural roads connecting the Fushë-Arrëz municipality with the Iballë administrative unit and its villages are blocked.

On the Elbasan-Qafë Thanë road axis , in the place called "Murrashi's bends: there is the presence of inert materials on the road. In Qafë Thanë there is snowfall which has made it difficult for heavy vehicles to circulate. Traffic police services are on the ground.

In the municipality of Kruja , the Cudhi Kamp-Qafështamë road is blocked by snowfall.

The road to Shëngjergj , Tirana municipality, is difficult to pass due to the amount of snowfall.

In the municipality of Vlora , the water level on the city streets continues to rise. Today, 87 mm of rain fell in the city of Vlora. Vehicles are having difficulty moving.

Snowplows are working today to keep traffic routes open and clear roads blocked by snow.

Road users are recommended to drive at limited speeds, respect road signs, and use winter tires on snowy roads.

The navigation of small vessels has been banned in the port of Durres. The navigation of ferries on the Durres-Bari-Durrës line has been banned. No problems with the navigation of vessels have been reported in the port of Vlora.

Based on information sent by the Institute of Geosciences (IGJEO) and the Military Meteorological Service (SHMU), this afternoon (Sunday, the 12th) and tomorrow (Monday, the 13th) snowfall is expected to include the Northern, Northeastern, Central and Southeastern areas of the territory. Snowfall followed by a significant decrease in temperatures and frost can create various problems and difficulties in road transport. This afternoon (Sunday, the 12th) intense to locally very intense rainfall is expected in the Vlora region, intense rainfall in the Gjirokastër region. Moderate to locally intense rainfall in the Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier and Korçë regions, while in the other regions moderate and weak to locally moderate rainfall is expected. Tomorrow (Monday, the 13th) rainfall is expected to be weak.

The rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms in all regions.

In the North, Northeast, Center and Southeast at altitudes above 300 m above sea level, precipitation will be in the form of snow.

Storms and high rainfall intensity, for short periods of time, can create various problems, as well as water flooding in urban areas, depending on the sewage system in the regions of Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier, Vlorë and Gjirokastër.

Minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach:

* on the coast: 5 / 12 °C;

* in lowlands: 5 / 10 °C;

* in mountainous areas: -4 / 4 °C

This afternoon (Sunday the 12th) and tomorrow (Monday the 13th) the wind is expected to blow light to moderate, while in the north and on the coast it will be strong.
