A man convicted of causing serious injury with intent and possession of a weapon without a permit has won the right to a retrial after the court forgot to notify him of the lawyer he had chosen.
Known as the Albanian 'Lypeni', Lajden Kadilli has used as evidence in the Supreme Court the mess caused by the vetting in the process against him, where after the dismissal of the judges, the young people avoided the defense.
Turned into a character after threatening the son of a former deputy, the 29-year-old said in the Supreme Court that while he was being tried in the appeal of Durrës, four judges were dismissed from the vetting and others who were replaced were under the stress of this process as much as in one of the hearings replaced the personal lawyer by appointing one from the state.
The way the judges formed the panel when the appeal of Durrës had passed into crisis and the decision-making that was given, is considered absolutely invalid in the address of the defendant.
The convict used as convincing evidence another event such as the 2019 earthquake that damaged the court of Durres and that for this reason the trial of the young man was conducted in another city, reports Tch.
The prisoner confronted the Durrës court, which accused his lawyer of delaying the trial not only with the lack of minutes, but also with another piece of evidence, that of the pandemic, which made the trial difficult.
