"It was Artemisa, I saw her"/ The disappearance of the Albanian in
Artemisa Vasili

The disappearance under mysterious circumstances of the 19-year-old Albanian Artemisa Vasili two years ago in Greece has returned to attention.

The reason for this is the testimony of an Albanian woman living and working for years in Sweden, given for the Greek investigative show "Light in the Tunnel" .

She has raised hopes of finding Artemis, claiming on the show that she saw her in the city of Gothenburg in Sweden. The testimony in question raised the alarm among the Greek authorities and caused the immediate mobilization of the local police, Interpol and Consular Authorities, while the family's lawyer, Anastasios Dougas, was also informed.

The disappearance of Artemis

Artemis Vasili disappeared on October 15, 2020 in Koropi, as he had told his family that he was going to give a job interview, but he never returned.

Greek media quotes several witnesses who have stated that they saw the Albanian girl in a bad psychological state. The girl was seen crying alone on a main street in Athens.

There are three testimonies. Specifically, shortly after the disappearance, a woman said she saw the 19-year-old girl in a state of shock and crying alone on the street. The woman approached the girl and tried to help her as Artemis walked away.

Another witness stated that when he got off at the bus stop, he saw the 19-year-old scared and running away in a hurry. Also, another information came that the girl had fainted on the street, but as soon as people approached, she said she was fine and left.

For the last time, the girl of Albanian origin was caught by the cameras going to a bus station, while after that there are only the testimonies of the citizens.
