There is still no clarity whether the creation of the Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order within Tirana is an initiative of Prime Minister Edi Rama in cooperation with the World Supreme Court of the Bektashi, as the news was reported in the American newspaper " The New York Times ".

The World Grandmother of the Bektashins has recently reacted, through a communiqué for the media, warning that during the afternoon the World Grandfather of the Bektashins, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj, will issue an official statement regarding this matter.

In the statement, it is said that the spiritual leader of the Bektashi Order supports the initiative that he spoke about in the American daily, but at the same time he denies the rumors that will appear in the media.

Announcement of the World Supreme Court of the Bektashins:

" The Bektashi World Grandmother denies the latest rumors circulated in the media regarding the Bektashi Order's sovereignty initiative. These reports are completely unfounded. Baba Mondi, the spiritual leader of the Bektashi Order, fully supports this initiative.

In his exclusive interview with The New York Times, Baba Mondi reiterated the importance of this initiative, stating:

"This is a decisive step towards protecting the centuries-old tradition of the Bektashi Order of spiritual moderation and religious inclusion. At a time when extremism and intolerance are on the rise, this initiative ensures that our values ​​of peace and tolerance can flourish on a global scale."

This afternoon there will be an official statement on behalf of Baba Mondi and the Bektashi Order, giving further details and clarifications on this matter.
