The murder of Ermir Dedja is suspected to be a well-organized and meticulously planned crime, in which foreign nationals are also suspected of being involved.

Durrës police have discovered that the vehicle used in this assassination, which was later abandoned in Gërdec and set on fire, entered Albanian territory just one day before the event. According to Top Channel journalist Dorjana Bezat, the vehicle was brought from the port of Durrës by a Moroccan citizen, who left Albania the day after the murder, considering the “mission accomplished.”

Albanian authorities are seeking the assistance of international partners to locate and arrest the suspected Moroccan citizen.

As part of the investigations into the circumstances surrounding this mafia-style assassination, Durrës police have identified another person of Albanian nationality, who has also been declared wanted.

This is the first time that a vehicle brought from abroad has been used in an assassination attempt in Albania, because in most cases, criminal groups use cars stolen within the country.

The investigation team suspects that this is a murder with revenge motives, as Dedja is suspected of having been involved in previous criminal events as the perpetrator.
