In the space of 10 minutes, two events shook Tirana this Friday. A 31-year-old man was killed after being stabbed, while a 34-year-old man was injured by gunfire.
The events in question are unrelated to each other and in both cases, but both cases have one detail in common.
It was 3:40 p.m. when, on "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street, on the sidewalk, Egli Pashollari, only 31 years old, was stabbed to death. The cause of the incident is suspected to be a girl.
According to what is known so far, he was attacked by three people, two boys and a girl. He had just gotten out of the car when the people in question physically attacked him. During the conflict, one of them stabbed him in the back. The perpetrators fled through the alleys and police authorities continue to work to capture them.
It was the citizens who were at the scene who gave the young man first aid and drove him to the hospital. However, the wound he received was fatal and he did not survive, passing away.
Ten minutes later, at 15:50, gunshots were reported on Kavajës Street. A 34-year-old man was wounded in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital for medical attention and fortunately is out of danger. In this case too, the initial suspicions are that a girl was the cause of the incident.
Police confirmed that they have been able to identify the perpetrator of the injury and are working to apprehend him.
"The police have identified the perpetrators of these two events, whose details are not being provided, because the investigation continues. Intensive work is being done to capture them. Meanwhile, the investigative groups continue to work to clarify the circumstances of the cases and their full legal documentation, as well as to identify other suspected citizens involved in the events," the Tirana Police said in a preliminary announcement to the media for both events.
