Mark Nika, the uncle of Aleks Nika, who was killed 15 years ago in front of the Prime Minister's Office during the January 21 protest, went to the Parliament this Thursday to submit a request to the head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla.
We recall that 2 and a half years have already passed since the decision of the Strasbourg Court and 2 years from the Supreme Court, which ordered the discovery of those responsible for the murder of 4 people during the protests of January 21, 2011, while SPAK still does not have a conclusion of the investigations.
Nika has asked Balla for help from the Parliament to influence SPAK to speed up the investigations. It is learned that the uncle of the deceased, Aleks Nika, told Balla that even a resolution approved in the Parliament calling for special prosecutors for this serious state crime would help a lot.
Nika further stated that the requests of the Strasbourg Court and the Supreme Court, which ordered the clarification of the role of the guard's chain of command, including former Prime Minister Berisha, in these murders, are not being implemented.
"The Assembly has the obligation to intervene, also due to the fact that it is the only institution that supervises SPAK in the implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights," said Mark Nika.
We recall that three weeks ago, Mark Nika also had a meeting with SPAK Chief Prosecutor Klodian Braho.
