The passing of Dhimitër Anagnosti, Rama: The father of Albanian cinema,

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the passing of director Dhimitër Anagnosti. Through social networks, the head of government describes Anagnosti as the father of Albanian cinematography, while recalling how he met the great director.

"The father of Albanian cinema, the author of many scripts that marked the path of our new cinematography in an extremely difficult time for creative dreams, the director of many successful films and the cult film "Lulëkuqe mbi mure" that has remained today as the headline of the screen of the history of Albanian cinema, the master respected by both young and old and the stubborn wanderer who could hardly wait for summer to escape from the city that had gone downhill, to his childhood home in Vlora, and later to his seaside hut in Jalë, Barba Taqo as I knew him when I was very little and he was still very young, or Dhimitër Anagnosti, as all film lovers and all those who loved him or not know him, passed away after always living with his head held high."

"Farewell Barba Taqo, rest in peace Grand Master," Rama writes.
