Vitori Janollari is an elderly resident of Strêmbec, a village in Përmet with only 13 families. Mother Vitoria tells "Albanian History" on TV Klan that after the death of her husband she lives alone in a big house, the children are far away but she refuses to leave the house. In this old house she is surrounded by a beautiful garden with flowers, old furniture and many memories.
Smiling, with the big door always open to anyone who wants to enter and cheerful conversation, Mother Vitoria radiates the kindness of the women of this village.
In a conversation with the journalist Alma Çupi, to whom she tells that the ruined houses nearby, once inhabited today are empty, her eyes fill with tears as she remembers the loss of her husband.
Alma Çupi: Aren't you afraid alone?
Vitori: I'm not afraid at all. I see every day that God has taken away my fear, that's what I say. My husband died, I spent 15 days as a maid, my sister also spent 15 days, then that first night I had a hard time, I couldn't close the door of the house. I will learn, I said, as they have all learned. Then once, twice as I got used to it, now I'm sitting here by myself.
Alma Çupi: She doesn't leave the house.
Vitori: They will hardly lead me to Përmet, I'm going out and about. You will lead me.
Alma Çupi: They won't let you stay here.
Vitori: I don't know, I'm pushing it and what do I say. This work was pushed forward./Klan
