Just like on Sunday, today the residents of Bëxulla have come out again in protest, which they have continued for 3 months, demanding the expropriation of their properties at the market price.

They have stated that they are not against the road project, but they want the expropriations to be at the market price, that is, around 50 euros, not the 3 euros offered by the concessionaire.

"I appeal to the institutions, do not cause riots as soon as disasters occur. We do not retreat because we have not stolen them like you, they are not occupied properties, but inherited with certificates. Get rid of devouring the property of Albanians. You are not satisfied with the hills, mountains and tourist villages that you have stolen. If there was a case of disaster, we would share the disaster with you, but don't kidnap us and build houses for lovers as they are coming out every day. We have the properties in use and we don't have money to burn in chimneys like the cleaners have today. Appraise our properties and there will be no clashes with the police or protests. The works of the concessionaire continue at a high pace. only in the village of Bërxulle where we have requested our rights have been suspended. They have no building permit. Where they built, they used deception, notaries and realtors. They have no chance in Bëxulë. Either they kill us or we never retreat."stated one of the residents.

"This road, as they thought, will not be built without our non-negotiable conditions. We are so determined that we don't even count our lives anymore. If they are going to wipe us all out as a village, then the state should drop the Hiroshima bomb on us. The situation is getting worse, we live with stress and fear, our patience has run out", said another resident.

They have called several times to Minister Belinda Balluku to sit down and have a dialogue. According to residents, 20 homes are at risk from the project and the government has not made a decision on their relocation.
