The ex-partner of the Albanian woman Gjeorgjia Murati and his friend who massacred the 41-year-old pregnant woman with a knife inside the apartment in Thessaloniki, on New Year's Eve 2024, are before the court .

The woman's body was found a week later in a forest area near Monopigados. 

The victim's 39-year-old partner and his 34-year-old friend sat in the dock for murder, termination of pregnancy and robbery, as well as illegal possession and use of a weapon.

During the delivery of the two defendants to the courtroom, Georgia's brother "exploded" at them while the relatives and the police intervened to remove him.

Meanwhile, the father of the murdered pregnant woman and other relatives demanded justice and an end to violence against women.

At the same time, a solidarity rally is held by women who, with placards and slogans, express their outrage that another woman was lost in such a barbaric way.

While yesterday, on November 17, Georgia would celebrate its birthday. The crime was committed on New Year's Day at the home of the victim's partner, who was actually pregnant with their child, and as stated in the indictment, the motive of the two perpetrators was to rob her. The 41-year-old had another daughter, who is now 13 years old.

In the report of the forensic medicine, there is talk of a knife wound in the neck that took the life of the 41-year-old, while immediately after the crime, the two defendants placed her dead body in a suitcase and transported it to a forest area.

For several days, the 39-year-old was looking for Georgia in the TV studios, while also sending messages from her mobile phone in an attempt to mislead the authorities.
