An Albanian was arrested by the Italian police after being accused of kidnapping a 26-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son.
Neighboring media report that the 33-year-old was forbidden to approach the young woman, also of Albanian origin.
The officers of Padova, Treviso, Vicenza and Trento were involved in his arrest, who were alerted yesterday by the 26-year-old's husband.
According to what has been learned, the suspect, 33 years old, a resident of the Treviso area, caught in Borgoricco (Padova), the woman who was driving her son to the nursery school and forced them to stop with the threat of a knife.
Then the Albanian took the wheel of the car, taking with him the child and the mother, whose legs he tied.
After about half an hour, the husband, alarmed by the woman's failure to return home, called the police.
The police managed to locate the car driven by the Albanian, who held the woman and the child hostage at knifepoint.
There was a chase for almost a hundred kilometers to Grigno, in Valsugana, where the kidnapper was surrounded and trapped. The woman and her son were released, while the Albanian was put in handcuffs.
