GJKKO has sentenced Gëzim Paplekaj to 8 months in prison, who is accused of receiving 20,000 ALL in exchange for votes for the Socialist Party.
Paplekaj is accused of passive corruption in the central elections of 2021. In a published video, Paplekaj is shown receiving 20 thousand ALL for 4 votes in favor of the Socialist party.
Paplekaj was sentenced to 1 year in prison, but due to the shortened trial, the sentence was reduced to 8 months in prison.
The serving of the sentence for the defendant starts from the day of implementation of this decision. He will stay in a regular security prison.
