A house catches fire in Kukës, one person dies

An 82-year-old man died after midnight in Kukës. The cause of the loss of life was asphyxiation, as the apartment where the 82-year-old lived was engulfed in flames.

The event was recorded around 02:40, near the lake of Kukës, where the flames engulfed the house and as a result the 82-year-old Sh. K., could not get out as he was suffocated.

Preliminarily, it is suspected that the cause of the fire was a spark from the wood stove, which was lit all night.

The investigative team is at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
