In the early hours of October 22, a seemingly banal argument over coffee ended tragically with the murder of two people.

33-year-old Flori Paluçi shot and killed 23-year-old Aranit Kurti in Manëz.

Paluçi also died after being shot by 21-year-old Daniel Pepa. In an interview with "Shqipëria Live" journalist Semiljana Azizi, Arian Kurti's sister spoke for the first time.

Flutura Gjimi has told how she learned of the horrific event, adding that she does not believe the murder happened over a coffee.

" I received the news in the worst possible way. That day I was asleep and heard my mother-in-law talking on the phone. I went out and asked her what had happened. She said nothing happened. I picked up the phone and called my brother but he didn't answer. When I called someone else to ask if they knew anything, they told me 'your brother is dead'."

I left my phone and my mother-in-law picked me up. I went out to Manzë looking for my brother. They then called me and told me 'Don't look for him anymore because he's dead'. I fell there and I don't know what happened. Then my husband came, who had gone and seen it. Then my brother went to the scene and he didn't believe it.

He went to the police and they confirmed it. I can't believe what kind of country this is that everyone knows each other and finds out this way.

I went to the bar and saw it was full of people. My brother used to hang out there every day and he never caused any trouble. Mom and dad live outside and they didn't know anyone, they came without knowing that he was dead.

It's a crime for the state to know what happened and not let anyone know. My brother died at 2 in the morning and we didn't know anything until 8. I blame the state for this. We don't know any details about the investigation. I don't know how God is going to break my mind.

We only had support from the area nurses because we were very sick, no one else. We were very close. When I got married he was 5 years old. He spent most of his time with me. He was even at my house on his last night. The other nights I would accompany him when he went out, but that night I don't know why I didn't go out. I never saw anything bad from him. I treated him like my own child. He was fearless.

The last time we joked, we just laughed. I didn't go out to see him and I wonder why I didn't. He was a calm person, he wasn't an argumentative person. There weren't any previous conflicts either. People all spoke well of him.

I can't believe that the whole incident happened over a cup of coffee. We are all experiencing it very badly because we were very close. He united us, he made us all his own. The state owes us all a lot. They left it as if he was alone and no one notified us.

"It was horrible to walk past the bar and people were still drinking. Two people were killed there and maybe they didn't know the other victim, but they did know my brother ," she said .
