The much-contested new judicial map will remain in effect. The Constitutional Court dismissed today the appeal of the National Chamber of Advocacy.

The new judicial map was approved on July 21 of last year, where, in addition to the merger of several courts in the districts, it also foresees the merger of five of the Courts of Appeal, leaving only one in Tirana.

It also foresees the merger of four Administrative Courts, creating only two such, one in Tirana for the North of the country and one in Lushnje for the South.
