A 62-year-old man was arrested by the police in Tirana, as he had weapons and ammunition in his apartment.

In a press release, the Blues inform that  Xhevdet Çali had a firearm, a pistol, a comb, combat ammunition and a bulletproof vest, which were seized as material evidence.

Police notification:

In implementation of the measures defined in the nationwide operational plan "Rule of Law", the police operation codenamed "Handle" was finalized.

The operation was carried out by Police Station No. 6 .

The 62-year-old man was arrested in the act for carrying a firearm, a pistol, a comb, combat ammunition and a bulletproof vest in his apartment.

Services of Police Station No. 6, following the work to prevent and attack criminal activity in the field of illegal weapons possession, in implementation of the measures defined in the nationwide operational plan "Rule of Law", have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Handle".

As a result of this operation, citizen Xh. Ç., 62 years old, resident of Mezez, Tirana.

During the search in the 62-year-old's apartment, in the village of Mzezez, the police services found and seized as material evidence, 1 firearm, a pistol, a comb, combat ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions.
