Massacre of Don Bosco, Appeal frees one of the accused

Roland Ahmetsula, one of the persons arrested as a suspect for involvement in the massacre of Don Bosco, has been released by the Appeal of Tirana.

Today's decision gave Ahmetsula the measure of "compulsion to appear" instead of "prison arrest".

Lawyer Shkëlqim Mustafa submitted evidence that, according to him, disproved the prosecution's claims, leading to Ahmetsula's release.

For the massacre of Don Bosco where Erjon Çela was mistakenly killed, it is accused that Kassandre Noga was the orderer and Kevin Suçi was the executor.

Ahmetsulaj has repeatedly denied involvement in serious crime.

"I have nothing to do with the event. Two days before the murder, I had a conversation with Kevin Suchi about fixing the car. He took me for the car whether it was fixed or not," he said before the Court of First Instance.

The police said that there were many communications during the time when the incident occurred, but according to Ahmetsulaj's lawyer, the latter's business is only 700 m from the scene and that there were communications only for work.
