In a statement to the media about the operation carried out yesterday at the drug laboratory in Fier, SPAK stated that the order was made in May 2022 and there were 430 kg of cocaine in the organic manure!

"This proceeding was investigated by the structures of the State Police and the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH), in cooperation with the Montenegrin authorities, as well as in continuous coordination with some of the foreign law enforcement agencies, referring to the information that was available regarding a suspicious shipment of artificial "organic fertilizer", which was packed and loaded in a container that was to be transported by ship from Colombia, through the Port of Piraeus/Greece, with transit destination to the port of Bar/Montenegro, for the recipient a citizen from Albania.

From the verifications carried out about the Albanian citizen, it turned out that at the beginning of 2022, he had registered a business in his name with the object of activity, among others, "Import-export and wholesale and retail trading of chemical fertilizers and various goods , with an address in Tirana.

More specifically, the amount of "organic fertilizer", in May 2022, after being loaded into the container, was sent to the port of Piraeus/Greece via a transport ship. and arrived at the beginning of July 2022. and from there by transport ship after 3 days it was sent to the port of Bari in Montenegro, and it was transported to the Albanian territory by truck in September 2022.

After the cargo with "organic fertilizer" was cleared, under the continuous coordination of the persons under investigation, it was possible to move it to different premises in Albania, and yesterday, November 24, 2022, it became possible to seize this cargo in Great Fern Forge.

For the interests of this criminal proceeding, it appears that the Special Prosecutor's Office, in addition to the investigative actions, has accepted the request of the Montenegrin justice authorities, authorizing the performance of the action simulating that of "controlled delivery". with the aim of documenting the suspected criminal activity, identifying the group of persons who organized and financed the purchase of the shipment, enabled the mixing and purchase of the suspected quantity of cocaine-type narcotic in Colombia, as well as enabled its transportation to Albania.

In order to fully identify the collaborators, who participated in the preparation of the documentation about the opening in Albania of the company that would carry out the transportation and delivery of the "load" in which the narcotic substance of the cocaine type was suspected to be mixed, the payments of carried out for its purchase, transportation and customs clearance, the persons who would take care of the reception and delivery of the cargo in Albania, the persons who would take care of the storage, storage and extraction of the suspected narcotic substance from the amount of "organic fertilizer", and who were the specialized persons who would enable this process to be carried out, have been authorized by the Special Court, all actions on the application of evidence search tools.

In addition, the court accepted the requests for the appointment of security measures for 11 persons under investigation and the control of 14 premises in different cities of Albania (Tirana, Lushnje, Fier).

On the part of the structures of the General Directorate of the State Police, 10 personal security measures have been executed up to these moments, as well as all checks have been carried out according to the respective court decisions.

As a result of the controls, the following material evidence was seized:

15,910 Euros;

3 Kalashnikov automatic firearms;

3 pistol-type firearms

108 pieces of combat cartridges of different calibers:

18 mobile phone sets

5 vehicles

2 laptops

2 shotguns

20 pallets with about 24 TONS of "artificial fertilizer", within which there are reasonable suspicions based on evidence that it contains an amount of about 430 kg of cocaine-type narcotic substance, which, referring to the sale on the retail market, has a value of about 40 MILLION euros," said the prosecutor.
