The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, left the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office today around 17:00.

Veliaj appeared at SPAK today around 10:00, and since then it is believed that he has been interrogated by the prosecutors.

At the end of his testimony before two officers of the National Bureau of Investigation, Veliaj said that he was questioned about the Tirana incinerator.

"Serious institution, it has increased my conviction that it is a serious investment. I was here as a colleague, I had made an appointment. We had a total exhaustion of the matter. And how this process of incinerators was a process that was not requested by the Municipality of Tirana.

I feel really good that today I had the opportunity to finally have my say. I believe that even my enemies feel more relieved", said Veliaj.
