In the village of Golem of the Rrethinat administrative unit, 2 kilometers from the city of Shkodra, few know Oriana Gremi. But the story of the 32-year-old woman who threw the one-week-old newborn baby into the waters of the Kir River is well known by her fellow villagers. After Friday's tragic event, what comes to mind is the unfortunate fate of the orphan who was abandoned by his parents at the age of 1.

"Abandonment is the same scenario that her mother did with her, but as Oriana had people who raised her, no one was able to keep her baby," say her neighbors.

And what is the story of Orjana Gremi?

Born on February 5, 1991 in Fier to mother Myzafere and father Baki, a year after the birth and separation from her husband, Orjana's mother would bring the baby to her brothers in the village of Golemi and then disappear. Orjana, 1 year old, would grow up in her uncle Merzuk Rexhepi's house. His wife Hasija would raise Orjana as her own daughter, along with two sons Fisnik, now 40 years old, and Denis, 37 years old.

Known in the village as a family with not a good economic condition, but honest, the Rexhepi family did not complain to anyone about the trouble caused by their sister who disappeared according to village legends in Greece and who was never interested in the daughter.

"We have never seen him in Myzaferen village. Not even his father. According to what we have seen, the girl grew up with her uncles and no one found out who her parents are. She completed only basic education and then used to graze cattle. Her uncle's family is withdrawn, they don't have friends in the village, they don't talk to anyone, they don't have company except within their tribe", says Erjon Selgjukaj, administrator of Rrethinat Shkodër municipality.

But how was the serious event that happened on Friday received by fellow villagers?

Erjoni thotë për Gazeta “SI” se askush në fshat nuk e ka komentuar. U vjen keq për familjen Rexhepi, Marzukun 70-vjeçar që Orjanën e rriti si vajzën e tij.

Dyshimet e para që kanë të gjithë është një mundësi lidhjeje e fshehtë e vajzës në fabrikën ku punonte.

Në moshën 23-24 vjeç Orjana, sikurse gratë dhe vajzat e fshatit nisi punën në një fasoneri në qytet. Ata shkonin me biçikleta sepse fshati është shumë afër Shkodrës, rreth 2 km. Zëra brenda në fshat thonë se dikush në ambientet e punës mund ta ketë gënjyer vajzën.

“Fabrika ku punonte është ndër më të mëdhatë në Shkodër, rrobaqepësi me afro 500 punëtorë. Dyshime ka për një lidhje të pamundur por që vajza u detyrua ta fshehë shtatzaninë. Askush në fshat nuk e ka ditur më parë këtë sepse vajza nuk dilte nga shtëpia”, thonë fqinjët e Orjanës.

I pyetur nga Gazeta “Si”, djali i dajës që e rriti Orjanën, Fisnik Rexhepi tashmë i martuar thotë se nuk dëshiron të shprehet në lidhje me ngjarjen.

“Kam dëshirë mos me u përzi”, thotë ai në lidhje me kushërirën e tij.

Banesa e Marzuk Rexhepit është një shtëpi e vjetër por me rrethim si një kështjellë. Të bën çudi avllia e lartë, ndryshe nga shtëpitë e tjera, ku duket se siguria brenda mureve të shtëpisë është thelbësore, me rëndësi.

Fqinjët e Orjanës të tregojnë se vajzën përveç se në mëngjes që nisej në punë dhe pasdite kur kthehej nuk e kanë parë kurrë më në këto vite. E po ashtu dhe familjarët e saj, që nuk dalin as në kafen e fshatit.

"They are hard-working but cold, withdrawn, unsociable people. They work in construction and now they are building the new house after the old one. Orjana kept her own salary and no one touched it. Someone must have lied to him and the girl suffered. It seems that he had the bad luck of eating," say fellow villagers.

And while she was lucky enough to grow up from the hands of Hasija and Marzuk who opened the door for her, no one had the courage to protect her baby, leaving it up to the mother, who in difficult economic conditions chose to be the killer of her baby .

What has surprised the area and people who know Orjana and her story, is the fact that even in these difficult moments for her, the 32-year-old has no one by her side, neither her biological parents nor her uncles.
