A 32-year-old Albanian man, wanted for involvement in an assassination attempt in Greece, has been arrested following an operation conducted by Greek special forces.

According to Greek media, Adriano Bushi was arrested in the early hours of the morning in the Ovrya area of ​​Patras, where he was temporarily staying.

The action was carried out by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department , with the support of the EKAM special unit and the DAOE operational groups .

An arrest warrant was issued for the 32-year-old by the First Instance Prosecutor's Office in Achaia, where he is accused of "attempted intentional murder", as well as violating the law on weapons and explosives.

Bushi is suspected of being involved in an event that occurred on April 7, 2026 in the Nea Souli area, in Patras.

Greek authorities allege that he, along with three other people, had organized a meeting with two Greek citizens following a previous conflict.

When the two men arrived at the meeting point, they were shot at. As a result of the shooting, one of them was seriously injured, suffering a penetrating wound and a fracture in his left leg.

Greek authorities are continuing their investigations to fully uncover the incident and identify the fourth person suspected of participating in the assassination.
