The State Police has finalized the operation codenamed "Operation 58", arresting in Laç a 40-year-old man who is internationally wanted and is accused of several criminal offenses in Spain.

The arrested person is Gjergj Gjoka, also known as Gjergj Marku, Gjergj Ruqja and Gjergi Ruqja, born in Lezha. He was located and arrested by the forces of the Directorate of Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Spanish authorities and through INTERPOL,

According to the decision of the Court of Instruction No. 1 Castellon de la Plana, this citizen is accused of: Cultivation of narcotic plants; Participation in a criminal organization; Theft of electricity.

Investigations in Spain have shown that he was part of a structured criminal group, with clearly defined roles, that dealt with renting premises, adapting them and assembling equipment for drug cultivation.

As part of a police operation, Spanish authorities discovered two premises adapted for cannabis cultivation, one in Oropesa and another in Cabanes.
