Eridan Veliu is one of the people whose assets were confiscated by SPAK .
His name appears in the SkyEcc mega-trial in Belgium , where 124 people were tried in connection with drug trafficking.
Eridan Munoz Guerrero, 51 ( his Colombian wife's last name ), is the head of a vast drug trafficking network and has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.
"I was at the head of a criminal organization, I participated in drug trafficking. I gambled and I lost," he admitted during the first hearing.
This file concerns the extensive international trafficking of cocaine and marijuana, which was dismantled by the Belgian police in 2021-2022, in cooperation with those of Italy and Germany.
It was called “Encro” and “Sky ECC” because investigators relied heavily on decrypting the “Encrochat” and “Sky ECC” messages, which are well-known among drug traffickers. Some defendants used multiple aliases.
The drugs were generally transported in containers from South America and Morocco, via the Belgian port of Antwerp, the first point of entry into Europe for cocaine, but also those of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Hamburg in Germany and Le Havre in France, according to the prosecution.
The prosecution claims to have identified various criminal groups active since 2017, "structured, hierarchical" and presenting "illegal commercial connections" between them.
The investigation began in the summer of 2020 when the fire brigade had to respond to a seemingly harmless fire in an apartment in Brussels.
After the flames are extinguished, firefighters and police clash in a small cocaine lab. At first glance, it looks anything but professional, but nothing is as it seems.
It is the start of an investigation into what quickly turns out to be the largest drug organization in Belgium.
The main operation then took place on October 21, 2021, with simultaneous checks in 114 locations across Belgium, for which 1,100 officers were deployed.
32 tons of cocaine and large sums of money were seized, as well as property, dozens of cars, weapons, and luxury products.
SPAK in Albania has also seized assets belonging to Eridan Guerrero. Some of this organization's money appears to have been transferred or invested in Albania.
