Kadare is immortalized in bronze, the statue is inaugurated on the day the great

The genius of Albanian literature, Ismail Kadare, was immortalized through a statue in the place where he consumed coffee every day and which served as a meeting place for all admirers who wanted to have a memory with him.

"I have never been as excited as I am today... in this space that Kadare loved so much, there is no table or chair where I am not sitting. Winter and summer, at any time. I see this monument as a presence. Kadare will now be present in our lives for eternity," said Bujar Hudhri.

His life companion, Helena Kadare, remembered Ismail with longing as she drank coffee back at the work.

With the idea of actor Timo Flloko and the support of friends of the Kadare family, the bronze sculpture was created by Henri Nimami.

Friends and family remembered on this anniversary the free-spirited writer who, with his work, became the main representative of Albanian literature around the world.
