The centers for the reception of immigrants in Shengjin e Gjadër are expected to open on September 1, while the first test or "dress rehearsal" for the administration of the centers by Italian employees is expected tomorrow. Testing for the proper functioning of these centers will also give the green light for the official reception of migrants who will be rescued by the Italian authorities in Mediterranean waters starting from September 1.

An internal regulation published for the employees of the center with 14 ordinances in total, for the behavior or relationship they should have with the Albanian people during their stay or interaction due to work.

Italian employees are specially instructed not to flirt with Albanian women, as according to the regulation, if their husbands see or find out about something like this, they may react badly, considering the Albanian society and mainly the community in the north of the country to be a conservative society.

The maximum capacity of the number that the center will receive in Albania cannot be more than 3 thousand immigrants per month and at the end of the evaluation procedures, the Italian authorities will remove the refugees from the Albanian territory at their own expense.

According to the agreement with Italy signed between the two governments on November 6, 2023, the port of landing of refugees from third countries will be Shengjini, where the reception center has been set up, while a camp is being built in Gjadër where they will stay until the requests for asylum
