The nearly year-long escape of former RENEA force officer Altin Morina has ended.

He was arrested last night by the services of Police Station No. 2 in Tirana, along with another person.

Altin Morina was declared wanted on May 17, 2024 as part of Operation Revenge.

"In the dynamics of the investigation of this criminal proceeding, evidence has been collected that creates reasonable suspicion that citizen Durim Bami, in collaboration with citizen Altin Morina (with effective duty of the "Renea" forces at the time of the crime) have organized the cultivation of narcotic plants in the Nikla and Tapiza area," the SPAK file states.

We recall that Altin Morina was arrested in March 2023, after 113 thousand euros were found in the car he was driving. The 43-year-old, acting Head of the Training Department at the RENEA Forces, was handcuffed in the Kodra e Diellit area, while driving this luxury vehicle. The considerable amount was found under the front seat wrapped in a plastic bag.

But a month later, he was released from prison after stating that he had borrowed the money from a businessman for a personal problem and that it was not generated by criminal activity.

Meanwhile, in the Revanshi file, according to SPAK, Altin Morina collaborated with Durim Bami on the cultivation of cannabis in the Nikla and Tapiza areas in 2019-2020.
