Tehran has reacted to the sanctions announced the day before by Washington against the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and National Security and its minister Esmail Khatibi for involvement in cyber activities against the United States and its allies, citing among these activities, the cyber attack on Albania.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, strongly condemned this decision of Washington and considered the accusations of the Albanian government as false and unproven.

According to him, the designer of this scenario is not the Albanian government but the American government and Tirana is a victim of Washington's scenario

"The immediate support of the US for the false accusation of the Albanian government against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the quick actions of Washington to sanction the Ministry of Intelligence of Iran resorting to the same false and unproven accusation clearly shows that the designer of this scenario it is not the Albanian government but the American government and Tirana is a victim of Washington's scenario against the Islamic Republic of Iran", said the spokesperson.

He added that for years the United States has forced the government and the nation of Albania to support a terrorist group that has trained and equipped them in the cyber field.

"The harboring of the terrorist group by the Albanian government and the action of the American government in support of those responsible for the murder of more than 17 thousand Iranian statesmen and citizens is a clear example of the organized support of terrorists against the government and people of Iran" .
