Official statistics confirm that this summer season has marked a significant increase in visitor numbers compared to last year.

The Institute of Statistics published the report on accommodation structures during July, according to which the number of visitors increased by 35.9% compared to the same period last year.

According to INSTAT data, the number of resident visitors has increased by 8.9%, while non-resident visitors have increased by 53.1%.

According to the Institute of Statistics, during July the rate of use of rooms of "Hotels and similar accommodations" is 49.3%, compared to 44.8% in July 2023.

What's important during this summer season is the duration of the holidays. The number of net concentrations has increased by 16.1% compared to 2023. Foreign tourists have stayed longer mainly in coastal areas.

A significant increase has also been experienced by the number of non-resident visitors from Kosovo. Compared to last year, they have increased by 14.3%. There were high numbers of visitors in July from Italy, Poland, Germany and North Macedonia.
