In connection with the publication in a number of Albanian media of unreliable information about the alleged relocation of the Russian Embassy in Albania to a new building due to the renaming of the street, we announce the following:
The new Embassy building, equipped for the office of the diplomatic mission, was prepared and solemnly opened in the presence of journalists and the diplomatic body accredited in Tirana in September 2019. However, the complete relocation was realized only in June 2022, for due to the delay of construction works during the pandemic period.
At the same time, the Albanian MEPJ was sent an official notification about the relocation of the Embassy office and the new address was published on social networks.
We would like that from now on, before publishing information related to the work of our diplomatic mission, journalists contact Embassy representatives directly for reliable information.
