The Greek police seem to be on the way to identifying the decomposed corpse, discovered yesterday in a field in the village of Mouriki in Thebes, after the digging of the excavator that was carrying out work to install an underground pipeline.

Referring to police sources, Vradini.gr reports that the solution seems to be given by a document found in the victim's clothes and it is about a 45-year-old Albanian.

The document proves the permit he received in 2011 from the prison of St. Stephen of Patras and never returned. Thebes Security officers asked his relatives to take DNA, to determine if the body belongs to the 45-year-old fugitive.

The identification process will take several days but will solve the mystery of whether the body is that of the former Albanian prisoner of Patra.

The dead body, according to police sources, was in a state of decomposition. After the search, the police officers found the document of the prisons of Agios Stefanos. Findings from the medical examiner's examination will shed light on the cause of death.
