A local police officer confronted the gunman who tried to kill former President Donald Trump on Saturday, according to the Associated Press.
The Associated Press reported this Sunday afternoon that a local police officer climbed onto the roof of the structure where 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was housed. The officer reportedly confronted Crooks, but the latter pointed the gun at the policeman.
When the officer pulled over and Crooks fired in the direction of Trump, Secret Service agents shot Crooks, according to the report. The Associated Press reported that an official shared the details on condition of anonymity.
Fox News Digital says it asked Pennsylvania State Police about the report but did not receive a response.
