The Tirana Prosecution Office has sent to trial Ilir Beqaraj , who is accused of the murder of former police officer Gentjan Bejtja , an event that occurred in the village of Larushk in Fushë Krujë last year.

The prosecution has managed to prove that Beqaraj had the role of an assistant.

With his active actions, he was able to remove the perpetrators of the murder from the scene, taking them to the village of Hasan, where they were able to burn the car in which they committed the murder.


This is also documented by the video footage administered by the prosecution.

While it was proven that Beqaraj was near the victim's apartment with his vehicle at various times.

The investigations revealed that in the vehicle used by the perpetrators to flee immediately after burning the vehicle in which the murder was committed, a genetic profile of citizens Ilir Beqaraj and FP, who are suspected of having played a role in the murder of Bejtja, was obtained.

Meanwhile, investigations continue for other people involved.

Murder in Larush, Fushë Krujë, Tirana Prosecution sends citizen IB to trial for the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in collaboration

The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana has completed the investigations and is sending citizen IB to trial for the criminal offense of 'Premeditated Murder' committed in collaboration, 'Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons' and 'Forgery of Identity Cards and Passports' provided for by articles 78/1 and 23, 278/4 and 289/1 of the Criminal Code.

Within the framework of the investigations for criminal proceedings no. 1944/2 of 2024, for the murder of citizen GB in the village of Larush, Fushë Krujë, the Prosecution managed to prove that the defendant IB committed the above offense in the role of an accessory.

According to the prosecution, this citizen, through his active actions, was able to remove the perpetrators of the murder from the scene, taking them to the village of Hasan where they were able to burn the car in which they committed the murder, this was also documented by the video footage administered by the prosecution.

While it was proven that this citizen was in the vicinity of the victim's apartment with his vehicle at various times.

How the murder happened:

The perpetrators approached the apartment of citizen Gentjan Bejtja in a black "Land Rover Discover" vehicle and after committing the murder, they drove away in this vehicle on the Larushka-Thumana road axis, after passing the Fushë Krujë overpass, turned left and burned the car in the village of Hasan.

The assailants then left in a black "Golf" type vehicle, without a license plate on the back, following the intruder from the scene of the vehicle's burning in the direction of the main Thumanë-Fushë Krujë road.

They turned right at the Fushë Krujë overpass and headed towards the village of Bubq, Krujë.
