Despite the rain, the residents of Bërxulla have come out again today in protest, as the works of the Gener2 company for the construction of the Thumanë-Kashar road have progressed, while the government is silent and does not give any answer to their demands. For more than 7 months, they have been looking for housing evaluation and to find the land where they will stabilize

In a statement to the media, one of the residents said that they are waiting for the implementation of the law if this project will be implemented and to evaluate the property, since their village is completely isolated. He further emphasized that they will not withdraw until their demands are resolved.

"We are waiting for the implementation of the law, from the Prime Minister, ARSH, after a major project like this, who did it? All relevant directorates have been dormant for 8 months. To extract the value of properties and apartments according to the market, we do not know what we will do. From the Minister of Agriculture who doesn't talk about how the land is being destroyed, she takes action. How property is acquired. You call to mind and do the assessment of the property, we cannot live in this form. The works have reached this point only by making individual agreements, everyone has their property, we cannot stop it. If it was the state that enforced the law, it would be over. The publication of this permit is understood to be a trick, they use the time of the campaign. We are at ground zero, this intersection will be out of order, the village will be completely isolated. We will protest until we get elections, every property must be certified according to the law.said the elder of Bërxulle village, Muharrem Koni.

One of the residents addressed Prime Minister Edi Rama saying that "he must see how their properties are being taken away", while emphasizing that "we are not asking for anything other than that our children live like their children".

"We hope in God because the most impudent, most ordinary Albanian politicians who go out on campaigns are looking for votes. They tell us to vote for us again so that we can drink the blood of your children. He is advancing the works illegally. We have the evidence to come to seize the works, all the rights of the residents of the village of Bërxulle have been violated. We are not asking for anything else, except to live like their children, our children to live like their children. It is up to us to rejoice. It is not too late to verify these works, it is the end of everything. We hope in God because there is no explanation for the most brazen, ordinary Albanian politicians who go out on campaigns and ask for votes. They tell us to vote for us again so that we can drink the blood of your children. Let the Prime Minister see how our properties and the entire village of Bërxulle are being stolen", said one of the residents.

"Whoever comes to my house does not enter alive. It should not be easy for the prime minister and Balluku who will build a road in our village", says another resident.

Residents claim that they have not received any notification regarding the project, nor about the expropriations. According to them, the company Gener2, which won the concession, started work on the ground without a construction permit and in violation of the law, stressing that the compensation offered is ridiculous. Residents demand their own discussions and public consultation, warning that their protests will be unstoppable.
