The Spanish police have arrested an Albanian wanted for serious crimes, sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia and who had just got off the plane at Valencia airport.

The Iberian country's media published the operation of the Civil Guard, finalized three days ago (October 25).

The Albanian is informed that he escaped from Belgium, where he was wanted to serve a life sentence. He was caught as soon as he landed at Valencia airport, and his name was not released.

The agents of the National Police have detained at the airport of Manise (Valencia) a 43-year-old man of Albanian origin, who was wanted by the Belgian authorities for having provided information about the commission of a murder in that country. He even helped them to kill the person when he was entering his apartment, in Belgium", writes the "Europapress" media.

The police authorities explained that the wanted person was trying to enter Spain with forged documents. From the in-depth verification in the control system at the airport, it was revealed that he was the person wanted for serious crimes, such as involvement in a criminal organization, aggression and aiding in murder. The fingerprint control has betrayed the 43-year-old, who appeared with a red card from the Belgian authorities.

The incident for which he is accused and investigated took place in 2022. The Albanian is isolated in the detention facilities, awaiting extradition, while the Belgian authorities were also notified of the procedures.
