The arrested man in Kuçova snatches the service weapon of a 20-year-old

A serious incident was recorded this Monday evening in Kuçova where a citizen shot a police officer, with the initials AT.

Through an official announcement, the State Police announced that at around 19:00, the services of the Kuçova Police Station were escorting the 45-year-old man with the initials ZS. However, during the escort of this citizen from the Fier Police Station to the Kuçova Police Station, he grabbed the service weapon of the 20-year-old police officer and wounded the latter.

The incident occurred after a conflict between the arrested man and the officer. The reaction of other officers was immediate, enabling the 45-year-old man to be neutralized. The policeman was taken to the hospital, but fortunately his life is out of danger.

During the physical search, the Police services found a quantity of narcotics, suspected to be cocaine, hidden in the perpetrator's body.

The investigative group and the Police Supervision Agency, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, are working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and to verify the implementation of standard procedures for escorting persons by the Police Patrol.
