Illegally entering Italy, Albanian caught trafficking cocaine, heroin and

The Italian police of Aprilia have arrested a young Albanian man involved in the trafficking of hard drugs, but also in the possession of heavy combat ammunition.

The suspect had recently entered the neighboring country, and cocaine, heroin, a radio receiver, a knife, a grenade, electronic scales, currency, and other items necessary for the illegal business were seized from him, among other things.

Officers encountered suspicious movements of two people exchanging goods on the street and intervened. Both tried to escape, but were handcuffed after a few minutes of pursuit.

The search allowed entry into the apartment occupied by the detainee, where approximately 100 grams of cocaine, a block of 60 grams of cannabis, several doses of cocaine ready for sale, as well as 280 euros in cash, four precision scales and packaging materials were found.

A home-made explosive device was also found inside the house, requiring the intervention of the State Police bomb squad to secure it.

A video surveillance system connected directly to the apartment was also discovered, which monitored the entrance way to the front door.

Among the seized items is the young man's Albanian passport.

Following the usual formalities, the Albanian was arrested and, by order of the judicial authorities, was sent to the local prison to await a hearing to confirm the indictment, Italian media reports.

It should be noted that the proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase and therefore the suspect is presumed innocent.
