A 33-year-old Albanian man is on trial in Cologne Court , accused of torturing his associate in a drug gang, according to foreign media reports.
It all started with the loss of Pun's cell phone, which contained important data on drug clients.
After realizing that the mobile phone was lost, the victim was kept locked in an apartment in the Kalk district of Cologne, where the perpetrators attempted to force him to hand over the phone or admit that he had handed it over to the police.
He was held hostage for about a week and brutally tortured, as the perpetrators cut off two of his toes, burned him with hot iron rods and cigarettes.
The torture even went so far that the Albanian defendant pointed a gun at her, threatening to kill her.
The victim confirmed the incident in court but refused to reveal his current address out of fear, and he further admitted that he had previously been part of the gang.
Meanwhile, the Albanian's defense attorney stated that the defendant had admitted participating in the hostage-taking and harming the victim, but denied using a weapon or pliers.
He added that his client had attempted to pay the victim compensation, but the money was not available due to his father's actions.
