The Italian authorities will investigate the death of the 17-year-old Albanian, Ledjan Imeraj, as a manslaughter.

The news is reported by the Italian media, but it is not yet known who is charged with this matter.

The Albanian minor died on December 31, 2022 after the fire that engulfed the community center where the latter was staying.

It is learned that the educator of the community center who suffered minor burns during the fire will be interrogated first.

Ledjan Imeraj lost his life in the fire and his roommate, a 16-year-old Ghanaian, suffered severe burns. In the premises of the community center for minors, the young Albanian was staying since September of this year.

During the intervention, the rescue teams managed to save and extract 11 people, 2 of whom were injured, but it was too late for the 17-year-old Albanian, while his lifeless body was found in the bedroom. The Italian authorities will have to clarify the dynamics and causes that led to this tragedy.
