A macabre event has shocked France, after a 5-year-old girl was found dead in a garbage bag in an apartment in Rambervillers. The Romanian parents had reported the disappearance of the little girl in the afternoon.

" The little girl was found dead in the apartment. It was the police who found the body. They tried to do heart massages, but they couldn't do anything. Unfortunately it was too late" , said the mayor Jean-Pierre Michel.

For the incident, the police arrested a 16-year-old man, who was in the apartment where the victim's body was found.

According to local media, the victim's body was found in a house located about a hundred meters from the house of the suspected attacker. According to the mayor, the arrested boy was " known to the municipal police and of course to the gendarmerie for facts related to sexual abuse " against minors.
