A 40-year-old woman from the city of Pogradec tried to drown herself in the lake of Pogradec.

Sources near the local police say that this afternoon the 40-year-old woman with the initials SK was thrown into the water, but fortunately a group of citizens reacted by pulling her out of the waters of Lake Ohrid.

According to the same sources, the 40-year-old woman is in the hospital of Korça, out of danger for her life. It is known that some time ago she divorced her husband with whom she also had a child, whom the court of Pogradec left in the custody of her cohabitant, who on the other hand had two children from her first marriage.

The fact that the court left the child to her husband caused a deep psychological shock to the 40-year-old woman who today decided to end her life.

From the side of the police, it is known that SK works in the cleaning sector near the municipality of Pogradec.

The investigation group is said to have interrogated her ex-husband to clarify more the circumstances of this event.
